I've been working on my VW Bug 3D render for the last couple of weeks and here is the beginning of my progression. Basic Blockout and finding proportions with background reference.

At this point trying to refine the different shapes of the old VW beetle.

Now that the basic parts are in I have started working with the Sub Div cage to refine the model and get it closer to reality.

Overall the model is coming together and starting to see the light(render) at the end of the tunnel. Everything is mostly in place and now I am just refining details and such. This project has been particularly helpful in getting used to Blender 2.8 and its workflow.

After looking around at a bunch of reference I decided to accessorize the main VW Bug as a All Weather Custom to give it more interest. Besides that just working on some background details before a final render.
