Videogame Superstar Challenge - Megaman
I did the body using a mannequin from Zbrush as a base. I pose it and then, after using dynamesh I started to refine the shape. The hard surface parts I did in 3ds Max. The intention was to give the character a real action pose.
The head I made separetaly using the same process of the body.
Here is my final image. Since from the begining I decided to make in a cartoon/manga style. It's something that I wanted to do for a while.
Quicksilver renderer was a key tool on this project, allowing me to achieve a cartoonish image in just a few seconds. I just needed to make very few adjustments to correct some parts in photoshop. I also used V-ray with light and shadows for a more realistc pass, and then mix with the cartton pass. The action lines were a manga touch to give the scene the action that I wanted. I was really happy with the final composition.
I intend to post an image showing the passes and the composition later.

Megaman is once again fighting against the evil Dr. Wily and his mighty robots. Risking everything he is preparing to shoot a devastating shot against his enemies and end the battle once and for all.
