Video Game Superstar Challenge - Donkey Kong 64

Small Update: Just starting to get the environment together and I gotta say, I'm having a lot of fun doing this project. I added a few more things for the scene:

• Hard to see but Tiny got a little update on her stitching
• Lanky found a banana! and apparently a swanky barrel!
• Woah! that banana attracted a series staple character, Squawk the bird!
• Donkey Kong finally is swinging on what looks more like a Vine.
• Added some Palm Trees  to showcase the height of the scene. 

So next Update will be focused on what the Kong Family excluding Donkey Kong will be standing on, Which will be Donkey Kongs house. Not alot of time left but everyone is doing fantastic, time to hustle!

Update again, after unfortunately getting sick for a day from some bad food, I came back to this! This update includes the addition of DKs house and the coloring of Donkey kong. I really liked how this all looks in their clay form and so emulating the same feeling I like into a colored form will be a bit of a personal challenge for me, so I will try to play with it as I go. This version of Donkey Kongs house is based off his house in the Original SNES Donkey Kong Country with a mixture of Donkey Kong 64's style of house. The Steering wheel as a window is my personal touch to reference the times he fights pirates consistently. After I color the rest of the kongs, I will decide what the backdrop will be. That being said, Next update will be the rest of the made models colored up. 

Tiny Update. Im pretty excited how DK turned out so I wanted to share it! Alright, next moment I get, its back to the other kongs.

Back again, and about time too! Its the dreaded final 12 days. This will be my final update until the end, and this has been a real fun one! Everyones projects are outstanding! For me I rendered out the Kongs individually and decided to put them in a comparison photo. Overall I'm pretty down with the results. The rest of the time I will be focusing on the environment and the final image. Hope everyone has a great few weeks! Adam, great to see whole family together! It looks awesome, i mean it. What are your plays for env? Did you locked the composition already?

Thanks for the feed back! here is a rough sketch I have in mind for the composition using very simple colors. The reason I try gonna go with this comp is to really show depth while balancing character focus and showcasing the largeness of the environment, which the DK Country series is known for. The green in the background is going to be different plant foliage to showcase the jungle and adding stylized clouds in the sky. Don't worry, for this idea. I plan on re-rendering on everybody so it all fits together. My inspiration is older Nintendo Video game covers and Promotional Advertisements from the old Nintendo Power Magazine! 

"You blabbering baboon! It's 9 days left and your off making good ol Cranky!... Not a bad choice but get back on rendering so you can finish in time! and you said you were done updating!" (Progress is going great, making a few changes but they'll be a surprise for the final image)
