Hello guys,

I'm going to join this interesting challenge. My entry will be Dante from the universe of Devil May Cry. Too much memories about this lovely videogame.

I hope to begin posting some wips in the next few days. Good work everybody, keep it up!

Cheers!

Hello guys,

Sorry for the delay with the first post but i'm attempting two challenges at a time. So this is my first WIP. I started with my basemesh and sculpted the anatomy except for the legs because we can't see them. 😛

Maybe we won't see the arms too but i'm not sure which outfit fits best for the pose i've got in mind.

For the face i used only an image as ref because the game is a bit old so i don't have much images to look at. I attached the ref. I did my best to match that face. In the intro cinematic of the game we can see Dante a bit younger than the one on the wallpaper but i decided to use the one on the wallpaper due to the slight more amount of details.

I've got a question: Can we model a prop for the final pose if we need it or do we have to pose the character by itself with nothing else surrounding him?

No, you need to have a full 3D rendered background with your character. So yeah, I recommend you add some props with your character lol

  • 4) Renders with solid background (one color: black, white etc, test renders, screenshots) and models laid on wallpapers will not be admitted to take part in the competition.
