This will be my first 3d gun challenge and for this one i want to create something special.
I want to create custom engraved beretta. I want to render it in UE4 just to test myself if i can achieve good real time quality and mood. I'll post some pictures soon

It took a little while, but i finally have something worthy to show in the forums. I had finished modeling and texturing of a gun, although i don't say that i won't tweak a little bit here and there. I am attaching screen from maya with wireframe and two from marmoset with a quick side renders. I want to try to render final image in UE4 but we'll see how it goes.
Whole model with mag is 4980 tris.
If you have some suggestions, or questions, don't be shy to ask. I'm happy to anwser

EDIT: Oh, and gun is beretta m9a3 with custom engraving based on one of their special editions

I want to update my progress. I am still doing props that will be in the scene. Next step will be tackling magnifying glass, i am not satisfied with that shader. overall I am pretty happy with quality of unreal engine. Lightning and prop position may change in final render. Cheers!

Hi,
Here's some image updates. I've decided, i should de-clutter my image, and also i had focused the camera more on the gun itself. In the previous render i wasn't showing almost any gun details. I am pretty happy that UE4 can deliver good lightning and shading quality. Altough i know that i'm not very good at it. Yet..

Last update before final submission. Still there are some things left to improve upon, i will try to tackle them tomorrow if i will have enough time.
