'The Terrier brand prides itself on its simplicity, reliability, style, and wild flair. The liquid nitrogen cooled barrel allows the Terrier to engage a rapid full-auto burst mode to send a hail of bullets at whatever unfortunate target is on the recieving end, make sure to protect yourself with extreme prejudice at all time, the neon jungle can be a dangerous place, don't leave the house without man's best friend.'

'Available in a variety of personalised colours and styles, make a statement with your sidearm.'

I wanted to create something sexy and simple, focusing a lot on the design rather than small details, I'm taking part in this challenge mostly to practice hardsurface modelling which is something I've always avoided.

Starting out with brainstorming, gathering a bunch of references to get inspired, then sketching out whatever comes into my head and getting a feel for where the design is heading, from there it's just a process of refinement, getting feedback from friends and tailoring decisions towards that.

Worked on some colour concepts with some feedback from friends, will have a better idea of this later down the line when I've nailed down the story more. Which variants do you guys like?

Blocking out some forms and doing some redesigns for mid level details.

Hardsurface takes a lot longer than I remember! Although I'm getting more used to it, worked out the magazine and other more medium details, uv'd the pieces and created a low poly for future use if and when I need it.

Finished the hardsurface and organised all the low poly's and UV's, getting used to the workflow again and jumping back to Substance Painter. Baked everything in Marmoset and now onto texturing.

Just continuing with texturing really, wondering if I've gone a bit too overboard with wear in some areas, may revisit and tone it down in the future.

Reworked and refined the texture a bit, felt it was getting pretty noisy in places and wanted to focus it a bit, brought it in marmoset for some testing as well as iray. May experiment with some different colour schemes next and make some stickers for it.

Had a lot of fun designing some stickers to slap onto this bad boy, trying to mash up some pop culture references and going with some future 'synthwave' style too, aiming to give the scene a heavy music vibe. Also did some very quick and dirty colour variations to see what other colours may work.

Totoro know's what's good.

Been working on a few accessories to add to the scene, should probably start work on the actual environment now... Will be a car interior focussed on the dashboard so should be interesting to tackle that.
