Got more detail on the sides of the body. Shaped the outer ring a bit better and finished the legs. Legs may be too fragile. Next, I'll start on adding colour to see if things work.

Wasn't happy with the eye/sensor and the laser cannon looking similar. Added a beak to the cannon for a test. The robbot is now able to protect and close the cannon. Also made ik look a bit more animal like..

Added some base colours to the robot gun to see if everything in the model looked ok. No proper materials or uv unwrapping.  Still in concept development. Think the back of the robot looks cool. Front and sides and legs are a bit under developed. Feet are ok.

Wasn't happy with the beak either so I tried a cannon and also wanted to see if smaller guns on either side would look good and help the robot to protect itself and shoot targets on closer range.

Wasn't happy with the black rim and and bottom side of the cannon. Think the cannon and guns could work.

Took a look for a different solution for the legs. Maybe a wheel could be inside of the robot and come out for moving over bigger distances. I wanted to see if it would look plausible.. Clearly it didn't 😉

Now back to developing the legs and cannon.

Worked on the legs' anatomy  and wanted to give them a more realistic look. Shaped them more in conjunction with the feet. Working a test for the body as well and have to see how this will stand in the general concept. Also testing if turrets on the hips will be a good addition for short range targets and quickfire.  Also city scape and environment (buildings, roads, vegetation). Than UV unwrapping and look dev. So busy times. Still lots to do..

I was working on the environment and started thinking about how the scene should look like and what was happening. So I thought this robot gun (or multiple) should be in the this (post apocalyptic) deserted city looking for or fighting the resistance. So I had this 'amazing' idea and thought I should also show this robot gun in action and have resistance. Maybe even focussing on the resistance being confronted by these bad boys...

I got side tracked ... even when there is only a week and half left.

So I wanted to think of a good solution to be able to finish in time, make a good addition for the final image and contribute and elaborate on the story.

The story stays the same with the robot guns controlling the city. This city is deserted and all people have fled or have been killed.  In this future city there were however also droids that were part of daily life and used for assisting humans for simple tasks i.e. in the household, public or private transport, assistants at the desks for front offices for governmental buildings. These droids didn't have the chance to flee and are now joined together to form the core of the resistance.

So I wanted to keep the droid simple but still developed so I could rig it for the scene. I started with the basic form all related to the standard skeleton so it would be easy to skin and rig.

Really basic and quick modelling and setup so I would be able to put it in the scene in different positions. Not sure yet how that would look.
