Hello, my name is Hugo Hernandez, I use Fusion 360 at work to design mechanical parts and prototypes for 3D printing.
When I found out about this project I knew I was going to use Fusion 360 even tho I also use 3ds max, I figured my gun theme would fit better with some of the F360 tools. I was a bit lost at first, trying to find inspiration for my design, I was modeling a part for 3D printing one day when I started thinking about an environment where guns are being 3d printed.
I also wanted my design to be a bit scifi with an ergonomic design, the last idea came from games where you collect random household items and then craft your weapons. Thats when I came across the coolest measuring tape I've ever seen:
The next thing I saw was my gopro, which I thought it would make an excellent scope:

After playing with different versions, I finally came up with a solid base:
My favorite game is halo, so I wanted to add some small detail, so I decided to use master chiefs classic armor color metallic green.

For the environment I wanted to show a print room where you could see different stations printing guns, unfortunately I noticed that it was not a good setup to see the details of the gun:
Instead I decided to go with a close up and better lighting:
