Space Rover 2020 - Beetle Wrx

The topic for my composition -  Battlestar Beetle

Idea - The idea behind my space rover is creating a vehicle that symbolizes a bug. Withing my research, Here in NZ the tortoise beetle is known to be found in the eucalyptus trees. I really appreciate any space or alien object which can be relatable. It's just me that I can keep a grasp of. For example, I hardly remember any Kaiju monsters but I love and remember transformers from my childhood. So I wanted to be inspired by bugs. It was way too hard for me as I am not a designer or concept arts. 

So I wanted to combine a few of the things which I love in this composition, Such as Subaru Wrx/Legacy, World Rally championships and space. I love how Subaru means unity in Japanese or United constellations. They had Bug-eyed Headlights as well. We have often seen designs that have references in the real world.

I finally manage to get the basic shape model out, I might do some detailed model on top of it. 

Manage to get the model to a point that I can stage it on my scene and start uving. 

Uv and Camera setups. Very quick photoshop edit to help me visualize. Please feel free to comment on the camera angle. I won't be changing the stage but I would like to revisit the camera angle as I will texture the scene. 

I guess the wheels should point the camera, or else it looks weird
