Hello! I'm really excited about this contest, love the idea! I will begin posting the WIP of my project. I haven't posted earlier because there were a lot of discarded designs, so i wanted to post stuff about the vehicle I'd stick with. The SDUC (Self Driving Unipersonal Carriage) is a retro-futuristic rover, heavily inspired in Syd Mead's artworks. I hope you like it!
Modelling took about 3-4 days. Here are some images of the WIP (in the images you may spot some features that were changed, like the tire design):

I'm currently working in the overall shading of the vehicle, so I'm trying some studio renders.
As you can see in the last image, I'm also working on a more "ethereal" material for the main wheel. I want to achieve some kind of "distorted" energy by using fluid simulation, refraction, fresnel-controlled transparency and spectral dispersion. That shader is nowhere near finished though, so I'll continue uploading as I (hopefully) get better results.
