Hello,
figured I'd try out my luck in this year's challenge.
The idea behind the project is a "what could've been" scenario, featuring the Lamborghini Miura Jota race car prototype.
The story of the Jota is not lacking in drama. As if the standard Miura wasn't special enough on its own, one of Lamborghini's engineers, a man named Bob Wallace, started an after-hours project of converting it into a full-on race car. He ended up stripping down 400 kg of weight from the standard Miura and pushing the engine power output to around 440 hp. The project unfortunately never really came to fruition, with the car never seeing actual racing despite being heavily road-tested by Mr. Wallace himself. It was eventually sold off and shortly after destroyed in a crash.

Some more WIP shots of the modeling and texturing process, by this point it was really cool seeing the project come together. Coming up with a contemporary livery was a nice challenge, looking at the Italian race-cars of the period, such as the Alfa Romeos Tipo 33, for inspiration.
