Back again for another entry! Spent about a couple hours today thinking about what car I would like to do this year and thought back to a car one of my teachers owned back in school. This year I will be making the Mini Cooper S that went on to win the Monte Carlo Rally 3 times!

This is my progress so far from tonight:

Good luck once again to all those participating, I can't wait to see what people do this time around.

Small update, I've been focusing on cleaning up the edges tonight and working on the front end some more.

The front end is starting to take the correct shape, going to move onto the back end now!

The exterior shell of the Mini is I think far enough along for now that I want to move onto some of the other details!

Nice work. My first car was a 1980 1275GT in yellow!

What 3D program are you using?

Ha what a first car to own, I am actually a little jealous! This car is so iconic I love it.

For my software I am using 3ds Max 2020 and rendering with Redshift 3.0.

It was a great car. Expensive now!

All the best and have fun with your Cooper model.

Took a break from modelling details on the car to start blocking out the environment that I'm envisioning:

A rusty old diecast model of the classic Mini Cooper S Monte Carlo Rally edition, long since abandoned, now washed up on a quiet country stream with a beautiful vista in the background.

Still in the very early stages of the development for the scene but I'm thinking of using some fluid dynamics to bring the trickling stream to life.

The concept is heavily inspired by macro toy car photography, as an archviz artist who tends to get plants/foliage only from pre-made archviz packs its going to be a big challenge for me to make the stuff myself, looking forward to it!
