It took me a while to decide what kind of scene I want to make, eventually i thought of retro-futuristic scene and found some nice photos of Wartburg sport which became my reference. Model of car is almost finished and right now I'm trying to blockout my composition.

Another talented artist also took ago a shot at recreating it at last years Humster3D car competition too. Good luck, looking forward to seeing it textured!

Thanks! You're right, Alejandro Burdisio is a great inspiration for me on this one. I didn't seen last year recreation though - great art!

I've done some renders to test the mood of lighting and materials
I still have to model lots of props for environment - it's a messy garage after all. I'm not sure about cropping, I think it's slightly too wide.
