Hello, this is Peter from xoio
This is my first entry to the challenge - hi, everybody. I hope I can see this through :).
I force myself to start with some 2d-conceptwork - switching media helps me to focuse more on design and shapes. Additionally I want to see, what size and language I want to go for. A few more sheets and then i will hop into 3d after the weekend. Take care, P
I love the design. It reminds me of Scott Robertson. I love the unibody and organic design. Looking forward to the model.
@ Atom_nz Thank you! Yes I should definitely start modelling now. Time's running ;).
I did some extra sketches and will pick little bits from the various approaches into the final idea. While the small vehicles are fun, I'd rather go for a medium sized truck, that would also house some sleeping modules. Maybe the small rover is somehow in a loading bay, but only if there's some time. But for the story I do have in mind, I want to have a vehicle that has been travelling some days.
Today is homeschooling-day, so I am busy - hopefully tomorrow I can switch to 3d!
Take care and stay safe, Peter
Here's an update to my entry. I decided to go for a medium truck with a streamlined design that leaves little attack area for harsh otherworldly conditions. I went for an assymetrical design with a forward trusting cockpit to allow the pilot to have maximum view for difficult terrain. Somehow that turned into a pointy hand design :). Hope you like the process and please comment - due to the current situation I am lacking all kind of creative exchange with other artists!
Peace and stay safe - Peter
