Ok so I never finished this model that I started last year but thought I would give it a go this year. I doubt I can enter it into this years comp but it would be great to get some feedback from you guys and give myself a deadline to finish on. I think I have improved my modelling skills but would really appreciate some help with rendering as I have always only used real-time renderers. Any recommendations for renderers or tutorials would be awesome.Â
Heaps more modelling to do as I have just started blocking out the interior. I have an idea for the environment but still need to finalize some stuff, thinking Doc Browns garage.
Can't wait to so this years stuff. Always get so much inspiration from this comp.

OK, so I have this idea of having the hood open and doing a half model of doc brown hanging out of it like he's getting something out. With steam coming off the car like he just arrived from the future or something. Never done a character model before but hey, I never done a car before either. Does anyone have any idea's or thoughts? This is the angle I was thinking. Maybe I should leave the hood down and just have the doors open?

Hi, first of all, awesome model my friend!
As for the hood, I guess you can leave it open if you want, you have a lot of details on the back.
Looking great, Good luck 🙂
Thanks for the compliment. I have nearly finished the interior so I think I will just have the door open. I am starting to go into some of the smaller details and figured out an easy and fast way to do the cabling which should save me a bunch of time. I put some very basic shaders but I will do the final textures in substance painter. Here's what I have so far. I would be going faster but I am a bit of a perfectionist and keep on re-modelling stuff I'm not happy with. Plus I really want a job in 3D modelling so I want this to be a big portfolio piece.Â
