I am super excited about this challenge, I remember seeing the winning entries from last year on the front pages of Artstation and CGsociety. Last year I hardly knew how to navigate my way in any 3d program, but for last few months, I have been focused on teaching myself 3d modeling.
For my entry, I am going to be working on a Shorland Mark 1 Armored Car. I have gathered reference and started to block out the overall shapes. Right now I am using Blender for modeling. Critiques and comments are all welcome, I would love the feedback. I'll try to post more WIPs as I progress.
