Just started on this year's Rendering challenge.
I'm planing to do a VW Beetle.
I just started the modeling phase and still haven't decided on the environment or a theme of the artwork. Currently I finished gathering references and started on the hood.

Finished most of the exterior details, started working on a trunk. Yellow parts are UVed, blue are still wip. I love to color code stuff I'm working on, organization thing.

Couple of new wips, and some renders. I was testing creases and SubDs to make sure everything is smoothing properly. I'm still missing some parts, but it is 90% done.

I have added all the details, If I've missed something, I'll add it later. Also did a UVs. 10x11 UV tiles, I have decided to go with UDIM workflow and paint 4k textures in Mari. If my PC endures hi-res torture, there should be enough resolution to do a 2k render of a rims closeup.

Just a two more tests. I defined some basic texture values, and started working on the chrome parts. I will probably change the car color, this is just for testing purposes. I hope I will finish in time
