Again, more refining, and adding thickness to panels.
Also added super-simple underbody items and plugged holes so you can't see the daylight through the mesh no more - looks like a solid car now.
I think I'll move on to do the environment and render setup basics next, the car is in rather good shape. Reflections and more advanced lighting will reveal the bad spots in the mesh that I can fix later.
Created a some sort of background environment, and lighting setup in Blender.
I don't have much idea of what it should be, but I have an idea in my head that it's going to be like a futuristic altar.
In the future, car enthuasists no longer exist in human form; Android robots have discovered and cloned the Carabo from 1968 that once looked into the future.
This event of successful cloning has gathered the car-crazy robots to admire and inspect this valuable relic from the ancient history.
Worked on the materials, and lighting.
Also created more futuristic looking background, took the arch-idea from the old one, and made large sweeping ones to get a calmer feel.
The robo-guys have also been blocked in. They are named Hank. Each and every one. Just Hank.
Need to focus on getting more "kick" into the render, and do more uv-maps for improved materials.
Tweaked materials and lighting. Generated (crude) textures for everything, and UV-Mapped the car completely.
Added some detail to the Hank, one of them is close touching the car. Noticed lots of small errors in the mesh, might fix them up more later.
I'm bit in a dip now, not sure what to concentrate on next. Also running out of time fast.
But I'll keep on working on it, to see what comes out of it. Perhaps test with different lighting and background detail/materials.
Changed the background, the rows of Hanks in there made it too busy so now only the Hanks close by are there.
Made swooping lines more coherent, swapped materials, turned glowing lines the other way. Changed "admirer" Hank's position slightly.
Spent some time to position camera for the best framing, I think it's rather good now.
Tire, wheel, interior and glass textures improved slightly. Tweaks to the car paint. Just slight tweaks to the mesh all around.
